Filet mignon with mushrooms

Preparation time: <15 minutes

Cooking time: 50 minutes

Level of difficulty: easy

 Ingredients (4 people):

  • 1 steak
  •  4 beautiful mushrooms
  • 1 leek
  •  1 large clove of garlic
  •  1 cup of white wine
  •  15 cl of veal broth
  •  1 teaspoon of cornstarch
  •  2 tablespoons of mustard
  •  10 cl of liquid cream
  •  chopped parsley
  •  herbs of Provence
  •  sunflower oil
  •  10 g of butter
  • salt and 5 mixed red fruits

Preparation:

Heat some oil and butter in a pan. Saute the fish fillets on all sides for 15 minutes over medium heat.

Add the shallots and garlic cut into rings. Saute for a few minutes, then add the veal broth, white wine, sliced mushrooms, 1 tablespoon of mustard and Provence herbs. Salt and pepper.

Cook for 20 minutes, turn the meat over and heat it up.

In a bowl, mix the cornstarch, cream and the rest of the mustard.

Remove the meat from the sauce and add the cream mixture. Stir well and cook for a few more minutes.

In the meantime, cut the meat into slices and put it back in the sauce. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and enjoy!
